Growing Too Fast

My baby is already 18 months old.

Here are some things I want to remember before he changes again!

He is acting like such a big boy already.
It still seems so crazy to us when he's running around as this little mini person!

He crosses his feet when he's sitting in his high chair or on a stool.

He is starting to wake up by just laying in his crib talking/singing.
Then we'll look at the monitor and just see him standing there...
most times he'll say "hi", "HI", "Hiiiiiiii!!!"
to let us know he's ready to get up!

He wants to watch Mickey Mouse as soon as he gets up!
His first word/sign is usually a toss up between "I'm hungry" and his "hot dog dance"

Mickey is usually the only thing that can totally distract him or make him happy
when he's grumpy or throwing a fit or is needy/clingy.
It is pretty much the only thing that makes cooking dinner possible when we get home from work.

He is still very good at following directions.

He LOVES to help Brian!
(or anyone, really)
As soon as Brian brings in tools or starts doing something, Braxton becomes his little shadow.
He loves to mimic everything Brian is doing and be RIGHT.THERE on his lap.
He knows which ones are daddy's tools and that he's not allowed to touch.
He just points and says "dada's"

He is getting so smart!
He can now do his puzzles and match the shapes/colors and the animals.
When his teacher asks him where the hearts are, he can point to all 3 places in his classroom that has hearts posted or hanging.
He can also point out a few more shapes in the room when asked.

He is becoming quite the talker now.
You can see him concentrating and studying when you ask him to repeat a new word.
He has started repeating a lot when we ask him.
My recent favorite is "snow"

He has become really good at saying goodbye and not crying when we leave somewhere.
He waves, says bye bye, blows a kiss, gives knuckles and gives a kiss.

When we say its time to go bye bye in the morning he grabs his backpack
and drags it to the door.

He has started throwing tantrums with the best of them.
He can lose it within in seconds if something doesn't go his way and acts totally devastated.
He even lays down on the floor and kicks his feet.

He always gets so happy and playful when we put his jammies on.
I don't know what it is, but he becomes so much fun right before bed time!

He is still kind of a picky eater.
I can't really narrow down exactly what he will want or eat.
He always loves the applesauce pouches, and lately will also eat raisens, most vegetables,
(but hardly any fruits!)
scrambled eggs, pancakes, yogurt, most pasta, and cheese.
