New Bike

Braxton was pretty pumped up about his new bike... especially getting to help daddy put it together.
He goes crazy over any excuse to use Brian's tools.

His legs aren't quite long enough to get the pedals all the way around but he's kind of getting the hang of it a little.
He is pretty happy to sit still and let you push him though!

Braxton's 2nd Birthday

{September 1st}

Braxton's actual birthday fell on a Wednesday so we celebrated over Labor Day weekend.
On his actual birthday he got to take cupcakes to school and of course they sang to him a lot.
We snapped a few family photos before leaving the house...

He also got to go out for his favorite food (macaroni!)

We got him a bike for his birthday this year and hadn't picked it up yet so we went by Toys 'R Us after dinner to get one.

He was in total toy overload.... and loved every minute!
He just wanted by every aisle in shock, like he coudn't believe all the toys, ha!
When we went by the little Power Wheels vehichles, he about lost it and had to get in every single one.

For his birthday party this year we just had some close friends over to grill out and had plans to hook up the slip n' slide and sprinkler for the kiddos.
Its been so hot this summer but of course the day of his party- it was colder and cloudy and windy.
So we scrapped the sprinkler idea, but they still had fun playing outside.

Of course I didn't get a single pictures of us with the birthday boy or of any of our guests...
too busy having fun, I guess!
Here are some from when we sang and he ate his cupcake, though.
He loved the attention and dove right in.

These kiddos have the most fun daddies!

Happy Happy Birthday, sweet boy!
So glad you are ours!

Number Two

Yup... this is happening.
Baby Beam #2 will be here at the end of February!

We're hoping to stick to our guns and not find out the gender until he/she is born.
I've had a pretty easy pregnancy again...very similar to my last one.
Not one bit of morning sickness but tired...  So.So.So. tired.
I'm 18 weeks along and its just started to subside.
I am very ready to be productive again.
Lets just say Braxton has watched a little more Mickey Mouse in the afternoons than usual.

I started showing pretty early with Braxton and popped about 15 weeks along,
and its even earlier this time.
It was pretty noticable at 12-13 weeks, depending on what I wear.

My appetite has also been very similar to when I was pregnant with Braxton.
I craved a lot of dairy the first trimester... milk, cereal, bagels/cream cheese, etc.
I don't really have major cravings this second trimester but I still crave really cold milk for dinner every night.

It's funny how we've approached this pregnancy comared to the last one.
With the first... its like that is all you can think about and plan for.
Now, it seems we're so busy with Braxton and everything else, some days I forget I'm even pregnant.
Obviously it will be different when I'm bigger and start feeling the baby move but its like we
haven't had time to stop and really take it in.

Braxton hasn't really caught on to whats happening, of course.
But he knows there is a baby growing in mama's tummy
and he says "mama's baby" when he sees the ultrasound pictures.
He also changes his mind everytime when we ask if he wants a brother or sister.
I think its safe to say we are all pretty excited!
