Santa

{December 17th}

The neighborhood Lakehouse put on another 'stories with Santa' this year so we went down to meet the big man.
It is such a good way to do Santa... its come and go so there is hardly anyone else there at one time and we can take all the pictures we want.
It's been a pretty good Santa and I love that the boys get to spend lots of time talking to him.
Everett was a little nervous and shy this year but there were no tears and he started to warm up and chat with him towards the end.

Christmas traditions are so much fun with little kids!!

I'm dying over how cute Braxton is with his hands in his pockets, so happy!

3 Months

{December 16th}

This little man is getting so dang cute!
Clearly I am biased, but man... we make cute little boys!
We think he looks a lot like Everett did at this age.

His eyes are still blue and he's gotten a lot better at holding eye contact and focusing on us more.

He is cooing and smiling a lot more and Brian just got a giggle out of him today.

He has found his hands.
He has started holding them together and looking at them and has started to chomp on them.

He is pretty happy in both the swing and bouncer chair now, but his favorite place is just laying on his back and kicking.

Braxton has been showing a lot more interest in him and is the sweetest big brother!
He is always commenting on how cute he is and loves to rub his soft head.
He will always go hang out and talk/sing/play with him if I ask him to and has become such a great little helper!

We still can't get Everett to even get in the same picture as Grayson, but he has also started to show a little bit of (positive) interest in the baby.

He still pukes up a ton but it seems to be getting a little better.
(I think?!)
He is still on the Prilosec and we really notice that he gets really fussy again if we miss a day.
He seems to be more predictable though, if anything.
It doesn't seem like he really cries for no reason any more.
He seems to only cry or fuss when he is tired or when he has a burp stuck (which is usually the case).
Sometimes it takes awhile to get them out though... and they still seem to hurt when they come up.
I feel like we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel though, and he has started to mellow out.

He is fitting in 3-6 month close and I feel like he'll grow out of this size pretty quick.
He filling out and getting some good chubby thighs...
to match his crazy chubby cheeks and double chins.

He still loves mama the best.

He usually doesn't go down for the night until 8-930ish pm.
We try to put him down after his 6/7 pm feeding but it doesn't seem to stick.
He was getting up 1 or 2 times a night, and then up for the morning around 6-7am but he's hit a growth spurt this last week and has wanted to eat every 3 hrs again.

He doesn't mind the car seat at all, which is good because he spends most of the morning in it on Monday-Thursday.

He loves bath time and has graduated from the sink to the big bath tub.

We Love this littlest brother of ours!!!

Christmas Tree Hunting

{December 3rd}

Some friends invited us out to cut down our Christmas tree in the national forest this year so we jumped on the chance!
Brian and I had wanted to do this years ago before we had kids but haven't been motivated to make it happen since then.
Although it wasn't quite the nostalgic experience I had in my mind, ha, we still had fun and I think the boys were really excited about the experience.
We had a lot of fun with the Papinchak's... as much fun as you can have with 6 kids 5 years and under, and Papa Jim even got to come with us.

Love this Charlie Brown Christmas tree of ours!

Our crew... 6 kids under 6!

Braxton is super into decorating the Christmas tree and is the best little helper.

Thanksgiving 2016

{November 24th - 26th}

Most of Brian's family came out for Thanksgiving this year.
It was pretty uneventful... we just hung around and had fun playing with our sweet cousin, Shepherd!

We attempted to take a quick family pic for our Christmas cards

Everett would have no part of pictures with the baby

Everett was Oppy's little buddy for the weekend
