End of the School Year

All three boys had the best year with the best teachers!
We were so lucky this year and we were all sad when the school year came to an end.

Grayson with Ms. Caroline and Ms. Kelly
They were both so amazing and Grayson adapted to school so well because of them!

Everett with Ms. Erin and Ms. Nikki
Again, so so lucky to have these teachers!  This was our 2nd year with Ms. Nikki and we just loved her soo much!

Before the end of the program.
I believe it was "Summer Fun" or something like that, and we had 6" of snow outside this day.

Love these 2 handsome boys!!

We had zero expectations on how things would go down on stage, ha!
Grayson did great showing up and standing on stage, but he did not say a word of his song.

Everett knew every word to his song and had been practicing for over a month at home!
He started off strong the first few lines and then just froze and didn't say another word until the very end.
He even reverted  back to his weird, funny motions and antics, haha

Braxton with Mrs. Ayler
He also had an incredible first year at our new elementary school and this lady right here was so incredible!
I got to be room mom with my friend and she was a dream to work with as a parent!
Love her so much and can't wait for the other 2 boys to have her!

Last day of school!
We have a pic from Kindergarten with these two and I hope we get one like it every year!

The bus stop crew.
We met so many fun friends/families at the bus stop this year.
When it was warm this spring, we would spend the afternoon playing up at the Lakehouse and loved that we have such a fun little group.

This was a book that Braxton brought home the last day and I thought it was so precious!
Loved how he dedicated it to his brother!

Here is from another one that he wrote!

NYC

{May 2nd - 5th}

My parents kept the boys while we took a long weekend trip to NYC with some friends of ours and we had a blast!
We had 4 full days there and really loved the city!
We packed our days totally full with the exception of the last day, when it poured rain all day.

Our first afternoon there, we just walked around and started checking out sites.
We had lunch up at the food court at the Plaza hotel and then walked down 5th Avenue.
Here is our stop at St. Patrick's Cathedral

Times Square

We got changed and took the train over to Brooklyn.
We walked around Williamsburg for awhile (where my brother lives) and had reservations at Peter Lugar's steakhouse.
This was Brian's NYC bucket list item and it was great!

The next day we got up, ran through Central Park and then hit all the sites.
We walked down the Highline Canal, had lunch at Los Tacos in Chelsea Market (this was my favorite area) and then walked over the 9/11 memorial and museum (incredible!!)

From here, we rented bikes and rode over to the Brooklyn Bridge.
(worst idea ever!  there was a ton of construction so very little designated bike paths and we almost gone run over several times)

Walked up to the middle of Brooklyn Bridge...

Realized we didn't see the Oculus, so went back over near the 9/11 memorial.
After this, we went to eat dinner in Little Italy (our favorite meal of the weekend!!) and then Brian and I met up with my brother Jeremy and his girlfriend for a comedy show in the West Village.
We thought we'd be able to catch a cab but never saw one and ended up running a mile and a half over to barely make the start.
We got drinks afterwards and then went to our hotel to crash.
We ran/walked 15 miles this day!

The 3rd day we hit up several more tourist spots...
The Top of the Rock, Grand Central Terminal, had awesome Ramen before our show and then...
HAMILTON!
My NYC bucket list item.
It was amazing.  So So amazing, it was 3 hrs long and I literally did not want it to end!

Our last day was kind of bust due to the pouring rain.
We browsed around a little and then hit up the museum of Nature and Science.
Brian and I ended up back at the hotel in the afternoon and had a good nap!

Trying to take a pic next to the largest found dinosaur for the boys

We met up with both of my brothers for dinner at another awesome restaurant that night.

Such a fun weekend with friends and a bonus that I got to see Kyle, Jeremy, and Amanda as well.
Definitely will be back!
