So Ready...

... for our vacation this weekend!!!  We are headed down to Mexico for a friends wedding and they could not have planned it for a more perfect time!  We CANNOT WAIT to get out of this cold, snowy Denver weather and be hanging out on the beach.  It's a short trip- only 4 days- but just enough for us to relax, recharge and warm up.

Winter Blues

Not gonna lie... I'm glad it's February.  That means we're 1 month closer to the end of winter.  Technically, we have a good 4 months until its officially summer, but I like to start the countdown early.

I'm not really a big fan of winter... I hate being cold all the time, I hate being white and pasty, I seem to fall into a weird funk and feel extremely out of shape, I hate shoveling our driveway, and I hate seeing all the new fun summer clothes and swimsuits that come out in JANUARY and not being able to buy/wear them for several more months.

(*I DO love skiing and getting to wear my Uggs 24/7)

Our January was pretty boring and consisted of:

-A visit from Brian's sister Cathey and a mini ski trip to Breckenridge

-Brian getting appendicitis...therefore, getting his appendix removed.  This last minute event also cancelled our ski trip to Durango...boo!

-Both of us getting colds, ruining the chances of skiing last weekend

-Trying to catch up on LOST.  We started watching them over Christmas and have just finished Season 3.  We're trying to catch up so we can watch the finale live (we've DVR'd the new season).  It's going to be sooo hard to not pay attention to all the previews/articles/posts while the new season is starting!

-Researching which waterproof digital camera to buy for our trip to Mexico at the end of February (so excited about this!)  We've narrowed it down to the Canon D10 and the Panasonic Lumix TS1.  Anyone have any suggestions?!  I currently have a Canon digital camera and love it but this one gets mixed reviews.

Hopefully spring will come sooner than predicted!
