Country Crush

I love country concerts!  Their shows are not over the top- they sound so great live and most of the artists seem just like really normal people.

We went with a couple of friends to see Brad Paisley last weekend... such a good show!

While back in Oklahoma, we did a mini photo shoot for Ethan's one year pics... LOVE those cheeks!

Beam Family Pics

Party Time!

We were back in Broken Arrow a couple weeks ago for Ethan's first birthday party!  I can't believe this little guy is already ONE, but we had a great time getting to see family and celebrating.

Happy Birthday, Monkey Man!
We love you!!

Labor Day

For Labor Day weekend we went camping and off-roading near Aspen and Crested Butte with some friends. Although I'm normally not a 2-night camping kind of girl... I bucked up and willingly participated.

We drove out Friday night but didn't get to our campsite (just outside of Marble, CO) until 10pm or so.  We headed out on the trail Saturday... it took us from Marble to Crested Butte.  It's not really the most fun experience off-roading in a regular vehicle (vs a 4-wheeler), and even less fun when you just get shook around in the passenger seat but all the pit stops made the trip more enjoyable.

Crystal Mill Powerhouse - apparently the second most photographed spot in Colorado

Brian and I

Did I mention how freak'n gorgeous Colorado is in this part of the state!?

We came upon these fall randomly when we stopped for lunch.  Apparently it's cool to jump in- all the guys did it.  I said NO THANKS.  You can probably guess how cold it is from Brian's face.

Campsite #2 - outside of Crested Butte, heading towards Aspen

The second day we took a trail that lead us back to Aspen ... our view was amazing!!

Part of the trail took us over Pearl Pass.  Let's just say it was equivalent to the most rocky, jerky, unenjoyable part of the trail on day 1.... for 3 hrs straight.  I was less than trilled and feeling nauseous most of the way.  This is the one and only picture I took the rest of the day.
