3 Years

{August 28th}

I seriously can't believe it has been 3 years since this little man joined our family!
Time really does fly!

A few things about Braxton at 3...

He loves to find rocks and almost always ends up stashing them in his pockets.

He is such a little sponge... and a parrot...
He repeats back all the things we stay to him.
for example... "You are not being a good listener"

A few other funny things he says are:
"are you kidding me?!"
"I'm just joking!"
(usually after he does something naughty)
"uh oh spaghetti-O"

{Birthday breakfast!}

He's becoming a little dare devil and loves to climb and hang off of things.

He is becoming a lot more fond of Everett and will interact with him quite a bit now.
His favorite is when Everett laughs at him... then he keeps going knowing that he's being funny.
At the boys 3 yr and 6 month check ups this week, he was soo sweet!
Everett was feeling crummy and crying on the table and he walked up and tried to hold his hand and kept saying "its ok buddy, I'm here.  I'm here" and "I'm sorry buddy!"

If he falls asleep in the car on the way home around his nap time,
It's done.
Even if he only sleeps for 1 minute... nap time is a total bust.
He'll either cry when we put him in bed, or he'll pop wide awake when we bring him in and then he'll roll around and play in bed for 1-2 hrs before falling asleep (if he does at all)

{"I'm watching out for animals, mom!" :: Posing next to his gas station}

He hasn't had a single potty accident in 3 months!
(this is after 3 months of pooping his pants every.single.day. right after Everett was born)

{birthday pic with Papa :: getting sand for his new sand box}

We had him pee outside once for convenience and now we'll often catch him with his pants down peeing in the grass.

He is really into gas stations and filling things up with gas lately.

He's also really into building trains... out of anything and everything.
Usually its a mix of his chairs, the carseat, all our pillows and blankets, and a random mix of wires or sticks or other things he finds around the house.
He has the best imagination right now!
And honestly, even my Type A self never gets tired of these kind of messes around our house.

{a few birthday pictures with our birthday boy!}

He still loves Sherriff Callie but has also gone back to watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
At the beginning of each episode he always says the magic words and does the arm motions:
"mouska mouska mickey mouse!"
(I Love this!!)

He says "mama/daddy, You're my best friend!" and comes and gives us hugs all the time.
Melts me every time.

He is so curious and asks questions nonstop.
After we answer every question, he continues to ask "why" about 4 more times.

Likes to sing and make up his own songs.
Now he'll start a song and then say "sing it with me, mama!"

He can count to 20 and to 10 in Spanish.
Also knows his days of the week (thanks to the song at school) and of course his ABC's.

I asked him a few questions and here are his answers at THREE:
