Everett's First Solids

{July 19th}

We gave Everett baby oatmeal right at 5 months and he did pretty well.

He was pretty interested the first time we gave it to him but for a couple weeks afterwards,

he was over it after a few bites.

We weren't sure if he wasn't into eating or just didn't care for the oatmeal

so we were pretty sporadic about giving it to him.

We have him his first vegetable, butternut squash, about 5 1/2 months and he loved it!

So far he's tried butternut squash, sweet potato, carrots, and pears... and he's loved it all!

I think its safe to say he just wasn't into the bland taste of the oatmeal.

He's done so good with opening his mouth and loves to make a mess on his high chair with his food.
