Cathey & Brent Come to Visit

{July 13-15th}

Brian's sister Cathey and her husband Brent came to visit us right after we got back from Oklahoma.  We loved having them out to Colorado!  Even though we love big family visits and the chaos, we also love getting to spend time with Brian's family one on one.  We had way more fun plans than we had time available and we always feel the weekends go by too fast.  

The only pictures I have from our entire weekend are from our hike near Buena Vista.  It never rains longer than 30 minutes in Colorado but of course the one day we take them hiking and preach the clouds will pass.... they didn't.  It basically rained/poured on us the entire hike.  We weren't entirely prepared with enough rain gear but we went for it anyways.  Besides being wet and cold (wasn't bad until we stopped and sat down for lunch) and taking a wrong turn and not getting to the lake we were hiking to, we still had a good time with them.  Braxton was again a total champ on the hike and didn't whine or cry one time.... even after he was totally freezing at lunch with the rest of us and we forgot to pack formula for his bottle (parent fail).  This kid just loves hiking!!
