{March 19-25, 2021}
We had the best spring break trip back to the JW Marriott in San Antonio! We were only scheduled to go for about 4 days but a huge snow storm was forecasted to roll through Colorado right before we were slated to leave and I did not want to get stuck with cancelled flights like last years bomb cyclone. So we made a last minute decision that I would take all the boys early on Friday night and spend an extra 2 days exploring downtown before Brian flew in and we could check in to the JW.
The boys and I hit up the Riverwalk for dinner and then explored the Alamo the next day.
We also found this amazing park within walking distance from our hotel downtown since we didn't have a car.
Brian made it out of CO right as the storm was starting and grabbed our rental car. Brian's sister, Cathey, and her family met us down there and the boys had the best week with them!!
Our neighbors, Greg and Lexi, also planned a trip down there at the same time so we had fun hanging with them at the hotel as well! We both booked here last year right before Covid and ended up having the best time with them at the resort as everything shut down, so it was fun to meet up again!
We ventured down to the Pearl district one morning to explore the riverwalk and shops/restaurants. I like it much better than the downtown riverwalk area. Lots of space for the boys to run and explore and lots of fun places to eat and shop.
Back to the hotel for more swimming.
