December Updates

I'd thought I would combine our December updates with a Braxton update since I want to remember (most) of this age.

Braxton is back at extreme stages...
When he is good, he is so sweet and fun and cute and we love this age.
When he is bad, he is rotten!  The last week or so he has been back at throwing these insane tantrums.
It almost always starts when we ask him to do something and he doesn't want to do it...
So he stalls and ignores us until we start counting and threatening time-out and then he just loses it.

Again... when he is good, he has become the most fun little kid and we crack up daily at the things that come out of his mouth.
He still picks up on so much of what we say and sometimes it comes back to bite us.
He's kind of been into tattle-telling lately and we've just been telling him to worry about himself.
Then at dinner the other day, when I asked him to finish his food he turned and snapped "worry about yourself!"

He is 110% boy.  All boy, all the time.
Is is obsessed with all things cars, trains, legos, bad guys, super heroes, etc.
He is constantly putting together random contraptions with random things... the vacuum cord, his wiggle car, Brian's tools or anything else he can tie together.
He is also incredibly good at tying knots... he loves to get out rope and can tie things together with the most incredible knots (that he just makes up)

On most days, he is Batman, Spiderman, Buzz Lightyear or a Ninja Turtle.
Always shooting the bad guys and saving the day.

He is really good at playing by himself.
I love hearing his imagination and the things he comes up with when playing.

He loves dogs- especially my parents puppies that have been staying with us for the last month.
He love chasing them, walking them, running around in the snow with them, and is quick to say how much they love and miss him.

He loves all the Disney movies he's seen...
favorites include all the Toy Story's, Lion King, Cars, Monsters Inc, Frozen, and his newest favorite is Planes Fire and Rescue.
He is obsessed with his Dusty plane and the helicopters and reenacts various scenes from the movie all the time.

He is starting to play with and include Everett a little more.
There is still a fair share of guarding his toys and screaming when Everett breaks his lego creations but he loves to give brother rides around on his wiggle car and help him walk.
I LOVE when they ride around together... Braxton likes to be the driver and Everett just holds on and is so happy to be his little passenger.
Everytime they pass us, he looks up and gives us the biggest smiles.

He LOVES the snow and being outside in it.
If there is a snow bank nearby, he is head first in it before you can say to stay out.

He has gotten oddly picky about the clothes he wears and it drives me nuts.
Little boys are not supposed to be picky about what they wear at 3.
He refuses to wear any shirts with buttons and begs to just wear a super hero shirt or his OU football jersey almost every day.

He talks nonstop and is getting really good at rationalizing against us.
Such a little smarty pants.

And... the the last couple of things that don't relate to Braxton.
A date night for Brian's company Christmas party and our favorite teachers (Ms. Andrea & Ms. Kelsey) left Everett's school.
We are soo sad they left to new things- Everett adored both of them!
Here he is with Ms. Andrea on her last day.

And... a couple more from my company's kids Christmas party
