Half Way There

{October 12th}

I am 21 weeks along and this pregnancy is finally starting to feel like its flying by.
The first several weeks went by SO SLOW but now I'm a little shocked and panicked
that we only have 4-5 more months as a family of 3.
Our 20 week ultrasound went great.
We stuck to our guns and the sex of this baby will officially be a surprise in February!
Not going to lie... part of me REALLY wants to know what we're having
but I think all the mental preparation of saying 'we aren't finding out'
made the actual ultrasound easier than I thought.
My placenta is a little low like last time so I'll have another ultrasound at 32 weeks
to make sure it's moved up.
(I'm never going to complain about more peeks at this baby)
They also noticed a 'brighter spot' in the abdomin of the baby that had
them a tad concerned so the sent me to a specialist at the hospital for a second
oppinion ultrasound.
(again... successful at not finding out!)
Everything still looks OK and I actually ended up LOVING the doctor I saw there.
Unfortunately, she only takes high risk pregnancies from referrals.
Here's a peek of this little peanut
(although we didn't get any great shots)

I've also been horrible at taking belly pics this time around...
something about getting worked over by a 2 yr old and just being busy in general.

I'm not completely exhausted like I was the first trimester but I don't feel like
I just have tons of energy like with the first pregnancy.
(probably the 2 yr old again...)
I am actually feeling pretty great except for the fact that I feel huge for only
being half way along and I've started to get an achy pain just below my tail bone.
It feels like a bruised tail bone, but nothing actually hurts to the touch.
It just aches like one when I bend over or sit cross-legged on the floor.
I'm guessing its just the way the baby is positioned or pressing against something
and hopefully it doesn't get much worse.
