{August 28th}
This boy was so fun to celebrate this year on his birthday!
We invited several friends to the pool for his friend birthday.
I think he wants to switch up our pool party tradition, but it is so dang easy and cheap, ha!
It started out great until a huge storm rolled in and cut it a little short, which was a bummer, but at least we got in the big things before everyone left.
On his actual birthday, we celebrated with donuts for breakfast and presents before school.
He had really been wanting a hover board after trying out his cousins over the summer and it was so fun to surprise him!
Grayson and I took him McDonalds for lunch and then we had a family dinner with Mimi and Papa at PF Changs (his choice).
He is playing soccer again this fall and we ended up on a new team after switching to the Rec Plus league. So far its been great and all the kids and parents seem good.
He's playing with 2 of his good friends so that helped with starting on a new team.
He tried baseball this summer and also loved that!
He has the sweetest 2nd grade teacher and is loving school!
His favorite subject is Math and he is killing it.
He is amazing at solving things in his head and is much further ahead than his grade level so far.
He's also been super into reading and its so nice that he can read quietly on his own for quite a while now.
He plays football almost every day at recess and loves to play after school with the neighbor boys as well.
His imagination is so awesome and he is always thinking of random games to play, things to make/draw/sell, books to write or things to create!
He also still loves to play pretend and build legos with Everett too.
He is such a good boy but lately we've had the hardest time with him listening to directions and doing things the 1st time. I hate to get mad at him when he's super helpful and usually does what he is supposed to, but it drives us crazy!
He gets super distracted and even the simplest task like getting dressed takes him 3 or 4 times of asking to accomplish.
Him and Everett play so well together and are the sweetest best buds.
But they also know which buttons to push to make each other so mad.
He is also close to Grayson and is so sweet and patient with him almost all of the time.
He is such a great big brother!
His swimming improved so much this summer and he loves to do anything outdoors!
He's into all the sports- football, soccer, swimming, golf, camping, riding bikes, playing Minecraft, watching movies, board games.... just up for anything and everything!
He loves reading and his favorite series is Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
He plowed through the whole series (sometimes reading a whole book in one sitting) and is anxiously awaiting the new book to come out in October.
