Steamboat for Labor Day

Had a sweet weekend up in Steamboat with some good friends for Labor Day!

Braxton is 9!

 {August 28th}

I can't believe our Nug Bug is 9!  It seriously went by in the blink of an eye and it makes me so sad that it has flown by so fast.

He is super excited to be back in school this year!  He has a new teacher but she seems super sweet.  He still loves reading and math and never once complained about remote school at the end of the year.

After completely wearing his bike out on a homemade ramp Brian built this last spring, he just got a new bike with gears for his birthday!  He is pumped to try a little more biking on trails.

He got to play flat football for the first time and it was fun to watch how much he improved over the season.  Even though he plays a lot with friends in the neighborhood, he really looked clueless and overwhelmed the first game.  They ended up winning the championship game by the end!

He also got to go backpacking with Brian for the first time and loved that too.  He really is just the easiest kid who is always down to try anything and go anywhere.  He loved the freeze dried food the most, ha!

We were bummed to miss out on soccer this spring, but he is playing again with his best friend, Danny, and excited to start back up this fall.  If you ask him his favorite sport, its still soccer.

He is still into legos and Minecraft and the boys recently discovered snap circuits.  He is very intuitive about just figuring it out and putting things together.  

Although COVID restrictions have sucked, this boy has been living his best life just playing outside with his friends all summer long!

1st Day of School

{August 18, 2020}

So happy to be back in school and for a great year for these boys!  The boys had a staggered start so Braxton started on Monday, Everett started on Tuesday and they both went back on Wednesday.

He acted so excited before school but I could tell the nerves were building.

He totally  got overwhelmed and shut down when we got to school and it ended up being a really hard drop off.

Thankfully he has an amazing teacher and he got a few minutes to get acclimated with the best principal ever and ended up having a great day.

Grayson started about 3 weeks after the big boys did, after Labor Day.

It was cold and rainy on his actual 1st day so I made him take pictures the day before and on the actual day, ha!

All teachers and parents have to wear masks in the building but so so thankful that these sweet kiddos don't have to at the preschool!
